Dr Lena von Schuckmann

Dr Lena von Schuckmann is a Queensland-trained Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD).
She has an interest in all aspects of medical dermatology, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, women’s and paediatric dermatology and the assessment and treatment of skin cancer. She provides ethical, compassionate and individualised care to the highest standard.
Dr Lena von Schuckmann is a clinician researcher and senior lecturer at the University of Queensland, where she conducts research on prevention, early detection and treatment of skin cancer. Her award-winning research work is widely published and presented at international conferences.
Dr Lena von Schuckmann works as a Specialist Dermatologist at both the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she supervises medical dermatology and high-risk skin cancer clinics, respectively. She is responsible for teaching training dermatologists, junior doctors and medical students.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2012 and subsequently completed a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Furthermore, she is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and worked as a General Practitioner in Brisbane prior to completing her specialist dermatology training.
